Boston College has created a new Masters Degree in Learning Engineering.

Learning engineering is the systematic application of principles and methods from the learning sciences to support and better understand learners and learning. The discipline leverages human-centered design approaches to iteratively develop and improve design solutions that address specific learning needs and opportunities—often using technology.

New Publication: Learning Engineering for Online Education

Chris Dede, John Richards, and ICICLE Advisory Board member Bror Saxberg have edited a new book entitled: Learning Engineering for Online Education. It is described as “a comprehensive overview of the emerging field of learning engineering, a form of educational optimization driven by analytics, design-based research, and fast-paced, large-scale experimentation.”
