The Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative — the organization behind SCORM and xAPI — holds an annual iFest conference that brings government and military training managers together for a two-day review of current developments in learning science and technology.
iFest 2018 is scheduled from Noon on Monday, 27 August through Noon on Wednesday, 29 August. The meeting is held in Alexandria, Virginia.
The LTSC and ICICLE have scheduled face-to-face meetings immediately before and after the iFest event:
- An ICICLE community meeting before iFest, on Monday morning, 27 August, 8:30am-12:30pm.
- A fee will be charged for refreshments, including lunch before iFest starting at 1:00pm
- A TAGxAPI summit including an xAPI technical standards working group meeting (P9274.1.1) on Wednesday afternoon after iFest’s closing session.
These IEEE meetings are open to all.
They will be held at the Institute for Defense Analyses, 4850 Mark Center Drive, Room 1301.
Plus, there will be sessions at iFest 2018 on new learning tech standards and on learning engineering. And ICICLE Advisory Board member Bror Saxberg will be giving a keynote!
